NYSC goes tough on relocation; DG unleashes DSS on relocation syndicates

The Director-General of NYSC, Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, is not leaving any stone unturned in his quest to unravel the syndicates behind relocation and redeployment in the scheme.

The syndicate according to our sources are top ranking officials of NYSC, who help Corps Members process relocation after payment of some funds.

It was said in some quarters that the DG was astonished by the high rate of request for relocation and the manner at which the system has been abused.

This thus led to an in-house investigation that has led to widespread arrest by the DSS in the NYSC, but events took a new turn when police detectives arrested Corps Members in Imo for questioning regarding relocation.

According to reports, 90% of relocations fomerly approved by NYSC has been reversed and investigations still ongoing.
