The management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has dissociated itself from an ex-corp member, Ukanwa Ikechukwu.
This is coming after Ikechukwu was on Friday, April 14, arraigned at an Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court in Oyo State for reportedly swindling a police officer of the sum of N235,000.
However, the NYSC had in a statement by the Director, of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, remarked that Ikechukwu had finished his youth service in February 2023.
The youth service scheme then went on to caution corps members, saying that their uniform did not provide immunity from any form of criminal activity as the laws of the country applied to all and sundry.
