The former bread seller, now model, Olajumoke Orisaguna, famously known as Olajumoke Onibread has come out to speak about her painful experience after suffering domestic abuse. She blamed her ex-husband, Sunday Orisaguna, for assaulting her. In an interview she gave to City FM, she blamed him for her ruined career.
She spoke of her marriage, saying, “Whenever I had misunderstandings with his mother, he would beat me. Sometimes, he would even use a belt.”
Olajumoke said she was enduring the abuse for years without telling anybody. This, was until 2016 when after a particularly violent incident, she left with her two children and relocated to Lagos for a fresh start. She added, “I was enduring all of it because he didn’t have a job, and I was the one going out to hustle.”
The model gained a following in 2016 after she accidentally walked into a photoshoot between TY Bello and British rapper Tinie Tempah. Despite all this struggle, Olajumoke is still an inspiration to many through her perseverance.
