KETU, Lagos State – A passion for stylish and distinctive jewelry has inspired Omobolaji, a native of Osun State, to establish ADÁRA, a jewelry brand that focuses on unique and durable pieces.
Operating from Ketu, Lagos, the entrepreneur combines creativity with determination as she balances multiple ventures alongside her regular job.
In an interview with our correspondent, Omobolaji spoke about the inspiration behind her business, the challenges of managing several responsibilities, and the lessons she has learned as a young entrepreneur.

Omobolaji revealed that her jewelry business has been running for about 10 months, although her interest in accessories started long before then. According to her, the idea to start selling jewelry came naturally from her personal love for collecting stylish pieces.
“I am a jewelry collector. I loved wearing unique pieces and people started asking where I got them. Then I decided to turn my passion into a business,” she explained.
Aside from ADÁRA, Omobolaji also runs a fashion and sewing business, while maintaining a 9-to-5 job, making time management one of her biggest challenges.
“Being able to balance my 9-to-5 together with my sewing business as well as the jewelry business, is not easy. My main challenge is with my time management skills. Twenty-four hours is not enough for me again,” she said.
Despite the demands of juggling several commitments, she remains focused on building a brand that stands out in the jewelry market. For Omobolaji, the uniqueness and durability of her products set ADÁRA apart from others.
“The unique pieces and the durability of my products,” she said, describing what makes her brand special.
Currently, ADÁRA operates mainly as an online business, allowing customers to order jewelry without the need for a physical store. However, Omobolaji also makes offline sales within her 9-to-5 workplace, where colleagues and clients often purchase her products.
While the journey has not always been smooth, she believes persistence is essential for anyone entering the business world.

“Business is not all roses. Some days will be without sales, but consistency is the key. The sales will mostly come on days you are not even expecting it,” she advised.
Omobolaji’s story highlights the determination of young entrepreneurs who turn their interests into business opportunities. From being a jewelry enthusiast to building her own brand in Lagos, she continues to grow ADÁRA step by step while encouraging others to remain patient and consistent in pursuing their goals.
