Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, has urged the NYSC to punish Corper Raye for breaking their regulations.
It should be noted that Ushie Uguamaye, commonly known as Raye, openly criticised President Bola Tinubu for the current economic suffering.
According to Raye, she was called to appear before her Local Government Inspector in Lagos on Monday, March 17, after NYSC personnel allegedly threatening her.
Reno Omokri responded to Raye’s rant by claiming on his X page that the young corper should be penalised for violating the NYSC’s rules.
The singer Davido was highlighted by him as an example of a young corper who was reprimanded years ago for breaking NYSC guidelines.
He wrote on his page; “This is not about politics or ethnicity. Under President Buhari, the NYSC disciplined music star Davido for flouting its rule. The people of the Southwest did not accuse the NYSC of tribalism, and the PDP did not accuse President Buhari of witch-hunting an opposition politician. There must be a rule of law in Nigeria rather than rule by sentiments.”
