The Independent National Electoral Commission which is the Nigerian election umpire has early this morning declared Senator Ademola Adeleke as the governor-elect after emerging winner at the July 16 gubernatorial election in Osun state.

Adeleke aged 62, polled 403,371 votes to defeat his closest rival and current governor of the state Gboyega Oyetola who polled 375,027 votes. This will make it the second time the two politicians will be going toe to toe in the gubernatorial elections after the 2018 polls.

Adeleke is popular for his vibes and prowess in dancing but there are a lot of things that a lot of people do not know about him.

Five things to know about the Osun Governor-elect

1) Ademola Adeleke is the younger brother of the first civilian governor of Osun state, Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.
