Cole Palmer netted a wonderful first-half hat-trick, leading Chelsea to a 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at Molineux and giving Liam Rosenior his fourth consecutive league win after taking charge of the team.
Chelsea started briskly and were 1-0 up inside 15 minutes when João Pedro was fouled by Matt Doherty in the box. Palmer took the penalty and scored, fooling goalkeeper José Sá. The visitors almost made it 2-0 shortly after, but Sá was able to stop shots from Enzo Fernández and Malo Gusto.

Wolves’ defensive problems were on full display again when Yerson Mosquera brought down Pedro, and Palmer took the spot-kick in a very composed manner to score his second. The England international wrapped up his three-goal performance moments later, receiving Marc Cucurella’s pass and finishing to complete a lethal sequence just before the interval.
After the break, the home side looked more lively and managed to score a goal through Tolu Arokodar,e who was set up by debutant Adam Armstrong and after controlling the ball, fired in from close range. Wolves still lacked the quality to make the massive point that they needed to pull off a comeback, as Chelsea controlled the game comfortably.
The win sees Chelsea still very much battling for the UEFA Champions League spot, sitting in fifth place and not far away from the top four. On the other hand, the tough season for Wolves is still going on as the new loss has them stuck in the lower part of the table.
