Ghana international Thomas Partey has been charged with two more counts of rape by the UK Crown Prosecution Service, marking another step in the legal battle that involves the midfielder.
The newest charges are said to be related to alleged offences in 2020 and an additional complainant. Following a fresh investigation, the Metropolitan Police stated that the charges are “non-recent offences”. Partey, 32, will be served at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on the 13th of March, 2026, for the new charges.

Previous reports already had him charged with five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault relating to a third woman, between 2021 and 2022, when he was at Arsenal. Partey pleaded not guilty to these charges at Southwark Crown Court in September 2025, and the trial will start on November 2, 2026. He is currently on conditional bail, whereby he is allowed to live his life and continue his career under restrictions that include reporting for travel and non-contact with the alleged victims.
Partey’s lawyer stated that the player was denying all the charges and had been in full cooperation with the investigators. Villarreal had made a statement in the past acknowledging their respect for the judicial system. Besides, under UK law, Partey is still considered innocent until the court proves otherwise.
