Paul Okoye, a well-known Nigerian musician who was a member of the now-defunct P-Square group, has accused his twin brother Peter Okoye of trying to get their older brother Jude imprisoned.

Shortly after attending Jude’s bail hearing at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, Paul spoke to the public.

Paul swore in a social media video interview to secure Jude’s release from detention.

He then accused Peter of being equally culpable of the crime for which Jude was arrested.

He said, “I am supporting him because I know the truth. Unfortunately, you journalists are making him look like a fraud. The truth is, Peter is the one putting him through this thing. Let us call a spade a spade,

“Peter is the one doing this. He is putting him in prison and I am here to bring him out. I am not denying Peter as my brother. It has nothing to do with this. I am only standing for the truth.

“But let me tell you something, the same crime that they are accusing him that he did, Peter and Paul are guilty.”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged Jude with alleged involvement in a N1.3 billion fraud.

However, he denied the charges and pleaded not guilty.
