Nigerian-British singer Darkoo has taken to social media to accuse Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P of P-Square, of trying to sabotage her new single Focus On Me. The singer said that Peter deliberately had her music video taken down from YouTube for six days over claims of copyright infringement, despite her insisting that she got the clearance.
Darkoo said that the real issue was that she didn’t want to feature Peter on the track. She blamed Peter, who was supposed to get a share of the royalties for the song, stirring unnecessary drama as his request to be featured wasn’t granted. While Darkoo offered him the chance to feature in a remix, she said he refused and chose to act out of anger, sabotaging her project.
The development increased the run of recent public controversies that have also seen him fall out with his twin and senior brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye. Now, fans await the response from Peter amidst the weighty allegations; Darkoo’s claims have sparked heated discussions online.
This feud has overshadowed what should have been a celebratory release for Darkoo, with many questioning the ethics of sabotaging an artist’s work out of personal grievances.
