Held at the prestigious Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Lagos, the event showcased Pepsi’s “POV Confam Gbedu Reloaded” campaign, perfectly blending nostalgia with contemporary beats.
The night pulsed with electrifying performances- Legendary artists Shaffy Bello and Seyi Sodimu kicked things off with their iconic “Love Me Jeje,” setting the stage for a musical time warp.
Master of “Ojapiano” Kcee added excitement to the evening, while Awilo Longomba provided his signature Soukous rhythms.
Representing the contemporary sound, Afrocentric sensation Chike and the soulful Adekunle Gold delivered their unique styles.
DJ Spinall, the Pepsi Music DJ ambassador, kept the crowd grooving all night long, fresh off his appearance at Coachella. Pepsi’s commitment extends beyond the AMVCAs. The brand is launching a Music Academy Initiative to further deepen its connection with music lovers across Africa.
The industry Merit Awards were given to Madam Idowu Philips (Iya Rainbow) and Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD); Ademola Adedoyin took home the Best Supporting Actor prize for “Breathe of Life,” and James Kalu Omokwe’s series took home the Best Series (Scripted) sponsored by Pepsi.
