Former Anambra State governor and Presidential aspirant of the Labour Party has received his certificate of return from the Labour Party on Friday, 10th of June, 2022 in Abuja
This was announced in a tweet from the official page of the Labour Party.
“Dr. Peter Obi arrives at Labour Party National Office Abuja to receive his Presidential Certificate of Returns as Labour Party Presidential Candidate.” The party tweeted.
Umar Ibrahim, the National Secretary of the Labour Party, had earlier confirmed in a press briefing in Kaduna that Peter Obi’s position as the party’s presidential flagbearer was still certain and the party had no other faction challenging him for the ticket. He begged Nigerians to not be worried by the rumors going around and to mobilize and use any means to make the party victorious in their quest to liberate Nigerians.
“Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, is the authentic presidential candidate of the party, duly elected at a convention organized by the leadership of Mr. Julius Abure as National Chairman, supervised and recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission.” He said
Peter Obi emerged as the winner of the ticket on the 30th of May during the primary election held in Asaba, Delta state.
