Police officers of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, have arrested three members of a well-known armed robbery gang that invasions, property, and vehicle theft.
The command spokesperson, Josephine Ade, who revealed this in a statement on Sunday, remarked that the suspects were apprehended, following an SOS call of an armed robbery incident taking place at Gwarinpa, Abuja in the early hours of Saturday, September 24.
The arrested suspects were: Shetima Abubakar, 22; Yakubu Iliya male 22, and Haruna Amadu, male, 54, and the recovered items were a stolen Mercedes Benz GLK 350 ash colors with laptop computers, mobile phones, and other valuables stolen from their victims.
The preliminary investigations according to the PPRO show that about 10 armed robbers have invaded homes along the Old Gwarinpa road and robbed victims of their precious items. Ade finally, disclosed that the suspects were currently being interrogated, and will be charged to court in due time, while efforts to arrest the other members of the syndicate still at large have been intensified.
