Police officers in Bauchi State have apprehended four alleged kidnappers, operating in the state.
The spokes representative for the state police command, Ahmed Wakil, who confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday reported that the operatives had additionally arrested three persons for purportedly printing and circulating fake Nigerian naira notes.
Mr. Wakil also stated that the four suspected kidnappers had threatened to abduct their target if he failed to give them the sum of N1 million.
He said: “Detectives attached to Misau Divisional Police Headquarters had immediately taken action and located the suspects. The arrested individuals are Ilu Wakili (30 yrs.), Abubakar Bello (30 yrs.), Muhammed Bello (37 yrs.), and Hussaini Abdullahi (38 yrs.), all of Zadawa village, Misau local government area, Bauchi State.”
Meanwhile, the suspects have already confessed to the crime and they will be charged to court for prosecution in due time.
