Alex Timileyin, a 200-level student at Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) in Oyo State, was beaten to death by fellow students over accusations of stealing a mobile phone that was allegedly discovered in his possession. It was later realized that he was a prince in the Uvwie and Warri kingdoms of Delta State. Prince Alex Timileyin was the son of Princess Antonia Emiko, daughter of Olu Erejuwa II (who reigned from 1951 to 1986), and the aunt of the current Olu of Warri. He was also a first cousin to His Majesty, Ogíamè Atuwatsé III CFR, the reigning Olu of Warri Kingdom.

What Really Happened?

Alex was said to have been allegedly caught in the process of stealing an iPhone and there are few other rumors about his death being caused by his refusal to join a cult in the university. It was also said that the phone was retrieved from him but some group of boys ganged up on him, took him to a place called “Shepherd Inn hostel” situated on the school campus where they shaved his head and beat him from 6pm on Friday till 10am on Saturday.

Public Responses

The issue of Jungle justice is an incident that incites significant public outrage. Why couldn’t they report him to school authorities? Weren’t there other students there? Why didn’t anybody alert the security when they heard his screams? How could they be so violent to a fellow human?

Comments on the internet:

Haaaaaa… killed person pikin over phone that can still be bought?! Can the life they took be bought back? ????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????????‍♀️

Everyone of those murder£rs should be brought to book!!! You got the phone, if you still want him punished why not hand him over to the authorities?

You got the stolen phone back and still did this????? Nigerians are worse than the government honestly

It tears me apart to witness our country Nigeria become so souless and devoid of Godliness, how did we get here????????????

Look at them treating him like an animal
@Princemoye1 please, please, SEND ALL OF THEM to jail. All of them involved, those watching and even those that heard. Men, woman. All of them.

The deed has been done. All we can hope for is that Justice would be served.
Say NO to Jungle Justice!
