The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru has just appointed a University lecturer, Prof. Grace Umezurike as the new Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
Umezuruike has made records as she is the first female to be appointed SSG in the history of the state.
Prior to her appointment, Umezuruike, had been a lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Ebonyi State University. She was also the wife to the former Commissioner for Health in the previous administration.
Governor Nwifuru had made the appointment known via a statement relased and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor on Saturday, June 10.
The SSG will be sworn-in at the State Executive Council Chamber, at Government House, Ochudu Centenary City Abakaliki on Tuesday, June 13, according to Uzor.
This appointment takes immediate effect.
