Not quite long, after a policeman in Lagos State shot Lagos based Pregnant lawyer dead, for no reason. A similar case of such nature has emerged, residents of Ogidi Community, in Idemili North Local Government, took to the streets to protest the unjust killing of a man in the society.
According to residents, An official of the Department of State Services (DSS) who was chasing a suspected Cultist known as China that ran into the deceased compound, pulled his trigger, and shot down the deceased who only came to urinate. The DSS official quickly pleaded that it was a case of mistaken Identity.
The deceased wife was said to have delivered a baby which the deceased was preparing to go see, this sparked a Protest in the community.
Anambra state police Spokesperson DSP Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the incident and said that peace and calm have been restored to the community.
Our Security agencies need reforms, if this continues more innocent persons will be Killed because those licensed to hold arms misuse them.
