Reports from Spanish media align with the club’s statement, stating that Rico, PSG’s second-choice keeper, is currently being treated in the ICU at Sevilla’s Virgen del Rocio hospital.
According to local media reports, the accident occurred when Rico fell off his horse while riding in the El Rocio region of Huelva, Spain. It is said that a runaway horse collided with the animal Rico was riding, leading to the unfortunate accident. As a result, the 29-year-old Spaniard sustained a head injury and is now in a serious condition, as reported by local media outlets.
PSG promptly responded to the incident, issuing a statement acknowledging the accident and expressing their ongoing support for Rico and his family.
