The civil lawsuit alleging that rappers Jay-Z and Diddy raped a 13-year-old girl at a New York party in 2000 has been withdrawn by the accuser.
Court documents filed by the plaintiff in New York federal court on Friday indicate that the lawsuit was “voluntarily dismissed with prejudice.”
Jay-Z reacted to the dismissal, calling it a victory for those who face false accusations.
“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious, and appalling allegations have been dismissed,” Jay-Z said in a statement posted on his company Roc Nation’s social media page.
“The trauma my wife, my children, and my loved ones have endured can never be dismissed.”
