In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio revealed his departure from the Spanish giants at the conclusion of his contract in June. Asensio expressed that he has made the difficult decision to seek a new path, where he can pursue fresh ambitions and attain new goals.
While the specific destination has not been confirmed by the Spanish international, reports have linked him to Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning French champions. Asensio, a winger aged 27, joined Real Madrid from Real Mallorca in 2014, spending a loan season at Espanyol before making his debut for Madrid in August 2016.
During his time at Real Madrid, Asensio achieved tremendous success, securing three LaLiga titles, three Champions League trophies, and this season’s Copa del Rey, marking his first victory in the competition. He scored 61 goals in 285 appearances, demonstrating his skill on the field.
