Real Madrid were crowned the world’s most valuable football club once again as Forbes released their annual list of rankings, with Barcelona climbing above Manchester United into second place.

The Spanish giants had a value of $9.5 billion, strengthening their place at the top of the global money rankings. Barcelona move to second with a $7.5 billion valuation over Manchester United, who fell back to third on $7.2 billion despite generating $865 million during the 2024-25 season.

The fall back of Manchester United comes after a poor campaign, falling to 15th in the Premier League, losing in the final of the Europa League.

Liverpool remained fourth with $6.2 billion, following their Premier League triumph, while PSG moved up to fifth with their Champions League victory and Bayern Munich are sixth. Manchester City fall from fifth to seventh despite continued success domestically.

Arsenal take eighth with $5.4 billion from Chelsea and Tottenham, who complete the top ten. The Gunners can only move up next year, finishing their 22-year wait for a Premier League title this season while also reaching the Champions League final.

The Premier League’s 11 representatives is more than any other league in the top 30 list, with Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Everton, Fulham and Brighton also making it.

Forbes claimed that the value of the top 30 clubs increased by 21% to $2.9 billion, and the global power of commercial football continued to be demonstrated.
