Despite his estranged relationship with Manchester United, which led to the termination of his contract with the team, we can’t deny that Ronaldo was sensational at Manchester United, especially in the early years of his career.

Rod Thornley, a former Manchester United Striker, has named Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player to ever play in Manchester United during his time.

When Thornley was asked who was the best player he saw at Manchester United, Thornley didn’t waste his time picking Ronaldo.

According to him, despite his age at that time, Ronaldo was a terror to defenders, he had a winning mentality which made him outstanding and Ronaldo always told people that he would become the best.

“I have to throw Cristiano [Ronaldo] in there. He had five or six years where he just terrorized defenses and won games on his own. An outstanding talent. You knew he was going to go on and be what he was because he just had that mentality of being, ‘I want to be the best.’

“He used to tell everyone, ‘I am going to be the best’. He was unbelievable, honestly, he was unbelievable.”

Despite at 37, the five times balon D’or winner is still doing his magic at Al Nassr, becoming the highest-paid footballer in the world.
