Cristiano Ronaldo extended his brilliant run, scoring both goals for Al Nassr in a 2-0 win over Damac in the Saudi Pro League, taking his overall career tally to a staggering 915 as he edges closer to 1,000.
The Portuguese icon opened the scoring in the 17th minute, converting a penalty after Damac defender Abdelkader Bedrane was penalized for a handball in the box. The game tilted further in Al Nassr’s favor in the 56th minute when Bedrane saw red for a reckless tackle on Mohamed Simakan, reducing Damac to 10 men.
Ronaldo doubled his tally shortly after, finishing a pinpoint cross from Nawaf Boushal, who impressed with a dynamic run down the left wing.
The victory lifts Ronaldo’s league goal tally to nine this season, keeping Al Nassr in close pursuit of leaders Al Ittihad as the title race heats up.
