Once again, Lamine Yamal is not available for the Spain national team as he has been withdrawn after a secret medical procedure carried out by Barcelona without informing the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
It is said that the 17-year-old winger underwent radiofrequency treatment for pubic discomfort on Monday morning, a method that requires seven to ten days of rest. According to the RFEF, they only got the information about the treatment at 13:47 the same day and the full medical report was delivered later that night.

The surprise at the forefront of the matter has led to a rift between Spain coach Luis de la Fuente and Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, thus, the issue of the teenager’s workload and availability has been escalated to another level.
The Spanish Football Federation, release a statemen after been misinformed, indicates that they are “surprised and concerned” of the player’s well-being. Therefore, Yamal was let go from the current international camp and will not be able to play Spain matches against Georgia and Turkey in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Nevertheless, the federation in its statement still sent good wishes to Yamal and hoped that he would recover soon and be able to represent the national team again in the future.
