Seun Kuti has broken the silence for the first time since his release from police detention.
Recall that the singer, who had been detained at the State Criminal, Investigations and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba, Lagos on the commands of a Yaba Chief Magistrate Court for assaulting a police officer, was granted bail on Tuesday, May 23.
Taking to his Instagram to post a story to his account shortly after his release, Kuti had acknowledged all those who stood by him during his ordeal in the hands of the Nigerian Police Force, NPF.
He had written,
“I want to say a profound thank you to everyone who showed me all this love. All my friends that showed up! Thanks most especially to my beautiful wife @chefyeidekuti”.
