Authorities said at least seven people, including some instructors, were killed at a school in Pakistan’s northwestern Kurram province.
According to authorities, multiple gunmen were involved in the crime, which occurred in the staffroom of Government High School Tari Mangal.
Officials believe this shooting is linked to another earlier in the day when a man was shot in his car in the district. The suspects are still on the run.
The specifics of what transpired at the school in Kurram district, a rural location bordering Afghanistan, remain unknown, and investigators have not uncovered a clear reason.
A man was shot and died in his automobile in Kurram district this morning, according to officials. He was thought to be a student at the same school.
They claim that in retribution, a gang besieged a school in the small village of Tari Mangal.
At least seven individuals were killed at the school, four of whom were instructors and two of whom were students. The police were also attacked, and three officers were hurt. The bodies of the deceased have yet to be recovered.
According to Samina Altaf, an education board chairwoman whose district contains Tari Mangal, pupils inside the school are safe.
According to local reports, the teachers at Tari Mangal were doing test tasks when the attackers entered the school and began the fire.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the assassination as terrorism on his party’s official Twitter account.
