Luciano Spalletti, Napoli’s head coach has stated that he will decide whether Osimhen will play or not for Napoli in the UEFA champions league clash against Liverpool which is slated to hold on Wednesday.

Yesterday, Napoli disclosed that Osimhen Sustained an injury in Napoli’s match against Lazio, which ended in a 2-0 win for Napoli last weekend. He hasn’t been able to fully train with the squad.

Osimhen was also absent from yesterday’s 15 minutes training due to some discomforts he experienced. According to Spalletti, there’s every possibility Osimhen will train with his teammates tomorrow if he feels better, and if he’s able to perform well in training, he’ll definitely feature in the match against Liverpool.

Osimhen yesterday he experienced some pain, so he didn’t train yesterday and trained separately today,” Spalletti told a press conference on Tuesday.

“Tomorrow he will train with the group provided he feels better than today. Tomorrow, if he feels up for it, he will try and shoot, try to do a bit more with the ball and if he has a positive feeling about that, like this morning, he will be available for selection.”

Osimhen has had several injuries before, and he even had to wear a mask on the field for safety after he sustained an injury on his head.
