With less than 2 days to the presidential and National Assembly election, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, had on Thursday, February 23 urged Nigerians to not be swayed by the current discomfort in the country, occasioned by the note redesign naira policy to discourage them from exercising their civic responsibilities on Saturday, February 25.
The Oba had also further encouraged the youths to come out en masse to vote for their preferred candidates on Saturday.
Additionally, Balogun had commended the electoral umpire for its assurances that it would give the country a credible, fair, and far from the fear election. According to him, INEC had already shown commitment to the pledge of good conduct for the 2023 polls.
