Raheem Sterling, England’s player will arrive in Qatar on Friday ahead of England’s game with France on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the 2022 world cup game.

The report has it that, Raheem left Qatar after receiving news that thieves broke into his home in the UK and his family was inside the house. He was ruled off from the squad in their 3-0 win against Senegal in Round 16, as he requested to go see his family.

According to Southgate, he understands the situation Raheem is as he wants to see if his family were alright after the attack. So he won’t pressure him to return to Qatar, as the family is more important than football.

Southgate had said, “I don’t know, it’s a situation he needs time to deal with, I don’t want to put any pressure on him.

“Sometimes football isn’t the most important thing and family should come first.”

Raheem will be back by Friday and will be joining his teammates in training ahead of the quarter-finals on Saturday.
