Reality TV star and media personality Tacha has spoken out strongly against the misuse of rape allegations, warning that false claims cause serious harm to genuine survivors.
In a video posted on her Instagram page on Thursday, the former Big Brother Naija housemate reacted to the recent confession by TikTok user Mirabel, who admitted to fabricating a rape accusation.
Describing rape as an extremely sensitive and serious issue, Tacha cautioned women against turning such allegations into weapons.

“Rape is a very serious issue. Women should never weaponise rape for any reason, because at the end of the day, you are taking away from the real victims,” she said.
She explained that fake accusations damage the credibility of actual survivors and provide ammunition for rape apologists, making it more difficult for victims to come forward and be believed.
Tacha further stated that those who falsely accuse others should face consequences, saying, “If any girl comes out to accuse a guy falsely of raping her, I honestly think she should be taught a lesson.”
Although she acknowledged that some individuals may act under emotional or mental distress, she maintained that accountability remains essential to stress the seriousness of such claims.
“I am not going to back down from the fact that women still do get raped. I am not going back down from the fact that there are real victims out there,” she added.
Tacha also noted that false allegations can severely affect the mental health of the accused and negatively influence public perception, urging society to protect and amplify the voices of true survivors.
