Four persons were killed in multiple accidents, involving a tanker and two cars in the Lafenwa area of Abeokuta in Ogun State on Friday.
The Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, Florence Okpe confirmed the incident, according to her the accident was caused by speeding on the part of the tanker driver.
The tanker driver who was trying to make a turn at the Lafenwa junction lost control due to overspeeding he collided with two other vehicles and also rammed into a fence.
Several times, drivers have been warned to always obey traffic rules, especially drivers driving big vehicles carrying harmful objects, to prevent loss of lives and properties. But Nigerian drivers while on the road, usually ignore those rules, leading to loss of lives and properties.
