A teenager launched a stabbing spree at a high school in Jerez de la Frontera, located in southern Spain. The local police have reported that three teachers and one student were wounded in the attack.
Among the victims, one of the teachers is scheduled to undergo surgery, while the other three individuals sustained minor injuries, according to a source from Andalusia’s health services.
The assailant has been apprehended by the police.
Canal SUR television channel captured the scene as worried parents gathered outside the school gates. A mother of one of the students recounted to the station that the attacker had produced two large knives from his backpack inside a classroom. He proceeded to assault fellow pupils and teachers at approximately 8:15 a.m. (0615 GMT) local time, threatening them with harm.
