Nigerian talented singer Tems has weighed in on the issue of self-identity in fashion especially for artistes. In the interview she did, she was quoted saying that there is no right or wrong way on how artists should dress. Tems insisted that everyone should be as they are, because that is the basis of individuality that makes people different.

She elaborated the point, saying that is has nothing to do with conformity and that her style is as real as her authenticity. Tems appreciates people who embrace their genuine selves irrespective of the outlook by social standards. She also emphasized on the aspects of diversity saying that it is not compulsory for everybody to dress similarly.

According to her, there should not be any rules or standards that one needs to follow as an artist or as a woman. However, differentiation or Individualism should be encouraged and embraced.
