The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated yesterday that a CMA CGM vessel had berthed at the Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos, just as President Muhammadu Buhari was about to commission the port.
The container terminal at the newly completed Lekki port will be operated by CMA CGM, a French container carrier.
NPA made the announcement on its Twitter account. “Ahead of the President’s commissioning of Lekki Port for commercial operations on Monday, one of the largest container vessels, the CMA-CGM, has berthed at the port.”
They added that the Nigerian ports authority has once again demonstrated its readiness to provide marine services for smooth port operations.
