In Awka, the NDLEA seized 68,300 tramadol and other hazardous tablets.
Mr. Femi Babafemi, its spokesman, revealed on Sunday in Abuja that the drugs were confiscated from one Nasiru Usman after NDLEA agents intercepted his car transporting the illegal drugs.
On May 11, NDLEA operatives, helped by soldiers, raided the hideout of a notorious drug dealer, Jimoh Lekan, popularly known as “kanmakanma,” in Owode, Ogun.
The operatives found 134kg of Indian hemp from his hiding stash.
In Plateau, NDLEA agents apprehended a suspect, Bashir Usman (32), on May 9 in Jos’ Gangare neighborhood, carrying 43.951kg of Indian hemp.
NDLEA agents working with courier companies also intercepted 398 grams of cocaine hidden in native clothing heading for Saudi Arabia.
He also stated that a female suspect, Fatima Hassan, was apprehended on May 12 in Agege, Lagos State, with 33.5kg of Indian hemp.
On May 12, 44kg of Indian hemp was also discovered in the Lagos Island warehouse of a fleeing narcotics dealer, according to Babafemi.
