Popular dating app Tinder will be leaving Russia over a year after the invasion of Ukraine saw several international companies close or suspend their Russian operations.
The Match Group company had recently disclosed that it will be withdrawing from Russia by June 30 because, in its own words, they “are committed to protecting human rights.”
The American firm had disclosed its annual impact report, revealing a summary of how the company was smashing goals it had prior set on the environment, human rights, and good governance.
Tinder’s exit is also coming as Russia has begun strengthening laws to regulate the tech sector amidst air-increasing political repression in the country.
