Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has revealed that her highly anticipated fourth studio album, ‘This One Is Personal’, will be released on August 29.
The award-winning singer took to her X page to give fans an intimate look into the making of the 15-track album. She described the project as deeply meaningful, noting that it took nearly three years to complete.
“My album is dropping this Friday & it means the world to me, and I want us to share this journey together,” Savage wrote.
She also launched a fan Q&A session using the hashtag #ThisOneIsPersonal, inviting followers to ask questions about the music, her creative process, and the stories behind each track. “I’ll be answering your questions about the music, process & stories behind it. Drop your questions with #ThisOneIsPersonal, and I’ll be picking some to respond to. Can’t wait to connect with you all,” she added.
During the interactive session, the ‘Kele Kele Love’ hitmaker revealed that the album explores themes of “love, healing, and heartbreak.” She also confirmed that it features collaborations with three other artists and gave fans a peek into the emotional intensity of recording, saying, “I cried a lot while recording the first song.”
Since her debut, Savage has cemented her status as one of Africa’s most influential music stars, earning international acclaim and numerous awards. ‘This One Is Personal’ will join her discography alongside ‘Once Upon a Time’ (2013), ‘R.E.D’ (2015), and ‘Celia’ (2020).
Earlier this year, Savage marked 12 years since her debut album, reflecting on her journey and the dedication she poured into her music, expressing pride in her enduring career.
