Tottenham are set to return to Premier League with a game against Manchester United after their impressive midweek Champions League victory. Spurs played with confidence in a game where they defeated Copenhagen 4-0 and in that way they perfectly answered to the last weekend’s 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea, a game in which they recorded just 0.1 expected goals—the lowest by any team in the league this season. However, Tottenham home league form is still not convincing as they have lost nine Premier League home games, which is the league-high in 2025.

Manchester United, lodon form has been impressive unbeaten in their last four league games (W3, D1), will have to face the consequences of their recent 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest, which showed their defensive issues as a team as they let Forest score twice in two minutes.

The Red Devils have improved under Ruben Amorim lately, but the problems away from home are still there. United have only one victory out of the last 11 domestic away games and have won only three of the last 25 Premier League trips to the capital.

In the recent past, Tottenham have been more successful against this opponent as they managed to beat them in all four games last season, including the Europa League final. The Red Devils are on a streak of not winning against Spurs in the last seven matches (D2, L5) and a loss will mean that they have notched up a record of five consecutive defeats to the same opponent for the first time in over 20 years.

The likes of Spurs defender Micky van de Ven, who has netted six times this season, and United captain Bruno Fernandes, who would like to assist his third consecutive away goal, are going to be very instrumental in the games. Tottenham have got their confidence back, whereas United have problems on the road and so, Spurs are a little bit more likely to win this game, which could be a fast-paced and high-scoring ‍‌‍‍‌twixt.
