Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has opened up about the traits she considers deal-breakers in a romantic partner.
During a candid chat with Complex, the Love Me Jeje star explained that she cannot be with anyone who lacks friendliness or curiosity.
She stressed that a relationship loses its meaning when a partner shows no real interest in getting to know the other person.
“My dating terms are that someone who is not trying to be your friend is a red flag. Anybody that isn’t curious about you is also a red flag. Because what are we doing? Why are we here if you don’t want to know me?” she said.
Tems added that the moment a partner stops showing interest, it’s best to walk away. “If he or she doesn’t want to know more about you, end the relationship,” she advised.
Although she describes herself as a “lover girl,” the singer admitted she is treading carefully because of previous experiences and is currently more focused on self-love as she prioritizes her personal growth.
