Tragedy had struck early this morning in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, as a truck crushed two policemen on top of a motorcycle to death around Olawuwo area of the state capital.
The identities of the policemen have not been ascertained at the time of filing this report. But it was gathered that the driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene after the accident.
Residents have attributed the horrific incident to the bad condition of the road. And as usual with all accidents, it had caused gridlock along the busy road.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the victims have been deposited in a mortuary and the police command in the state has yet to make its remarks on the tragic death of the officers.
