Turkey’s military executed air strikes in northern Iraq on Monday, obliterating 13 Kurdish militant targets, as confirmed by the Turkish Defence Ministry.
The ministry announced on the social messaging platform X that a significant number of militants were “neutralised” in the operation, using the term to denote elimination.

The statement detailed that the strikes pinpointed caves, shelters, and storage facilities suspected to harbor militants.
The affected areas included the Hakurk, Gara, Qandil, and Metina regions in northern Iraq. Turkey has historically employed the term “neutralised” to indicate the elimination or killing of targeted individuals.
