Christopher’s Ogunmodede and Musa Abdullahi, are the two suspects who had on Friday, April 12 appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court, Ibadan, for reportedly stealing 9 liters of diesel worth N12,600.
The defendants, whose addresses were not provided, are being charged with conspiracy and theft but they had however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Inspector Gbemisola Adedeji, had informed the court that the defendants committed the offenses on April 6, at about 9:00 pm at First Technical University, Ibadan.
Adedeji had also claimed that the defendants connived to steal the diesel belonging to the university.
She remarked that the offenses contravened sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
However, Adebola Adeola, the Magistrate had granted each of the defendants, a bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety each.
The case has been adjourned until June 7 for hearing.
