UEFA has harshly criticized President Gianni Infantino’s plan to establish a $20 billion commercial business to market the World Cup and its other biggest competitions on the back of a plan of action supported by Private investors.
FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), tentatively the name of the business operation which will manage competitions together with the FIFA World Cup, also including its World Club Cup competition, will attract an added $4.2 billion by the sale of small minority shareholdings to long-term financial experts. Thrive Eternal, set by Joshua Kushner, is considered among the intended buyers as Fifa worked with J.P. Morgan on the project.

While FIFA continued that it maintains absolute control of football direction, competition regulations and international scheduling of games, football’s 211 affiliated organizations would have gained as much as $20 million in a once-in-a-lifetime payment if they agreed to motions presented at the World Congress, held this coming month in Bangkok.
The FIFA Leader said, “It would demonstrate to democratize football around the globe as we endeavor for everyone to access it” and affirmed that he commenced talking with 211 member associations.
Having stated that FIFA is preparing to record profits from the 2026 World cup as well as infantino to try a number of private funding deals after the same move fell flat four years ago and faced strong protests from European officials.
It, however, obtained a stout rebuttal from its European partner, which argued that its game must never offer any fraction of it. “Football is certainly not for sale,” FIFA stated in a communiqué.
