Keir Starmer, the freshly-elected UK Prime Minister, has made 10 cabinet appointments, according to a report by the BBC.
Starmer had just emerged m the Labour Party’s first PM since Gordon Brown in 2010.
During his meeting with King Charles III on Friday, he was urged to form a government.
Below is the list of the 10 new cabinet members:
- Angela Rayner as the Deputy Prime Minister
- Rachel Reeves as the Chancellor
- David Lammy as the Foreign Secretary
- Yvette Cooper as the Home Secretary
- John Healey as the Defence Secretary
- Pat McFadden as the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster
- Ed Miliband as the Energy Secretary
- Bridget Phillipson as the Education Secretary
- Wes Streeting as the Health Secretary
- Shabana Mahmood as the Justice Secretary
