UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer Appoints 10 Key Officials

Keir Starmer, the freshly-elected UK Prime Minister, has made 10 cabinet appointments, according to a report by the BBC.

Starmer had just emerged m the Labour Party’s first PM since Gordon Brown in 2010.

During his meeting with King Charles III on Friday, he was urged to form a government.

Below is the list of the 10 new cabinet members:

1. Angela Rayner as the Deputy Prime Minister
2. Rachel Reeves as the Chancellor
3. David Lammy as the Foreign Secretary
4. Yvette Cooper as the Home Secretary
5. John Healey as the Defence Secretary
6. Pat McFadden as the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster
7. Ed Miliband as the Energy Secretary
8. Bridget Phillipson as the Education Secretary
9. Wes Streeting as the Health Secretary
10. Shabana Mahmood as the Justice Secretary
