Ex-Nigerian forward, Jonathan Akpoborie believes that Victor Osimhen will win the African player of the year Award if he remains consistent with his goal-scoring form in Napoli.
The Super Eagles player is not only the top goal scorer in Serie A but also his goal Against Roma was rated the best Serie A goal of the month.
Speaking on Osimhen’s new form, Akpoborie said that he’s proud knowing that a Nigerian player is doing wonders in the Serie A, and he is very confident that Osimhen will win the African best player of the year if continues with his goal-scoring streak.
“It’s a good one to know that a Nigerian player is doing the nation proud in the Serie A, Victor Osimhen’s goal-scoring prowess has caught the attention of many football lovers across the world.
“I am delighted that he’s also the top scorer in the Serie A and I am optimistic he can win the Africa Player of the Year Award if maintain this form till the end of the season.”
