Muyiwa Awoniyi, the talent manager behind Nigerian music sensations Tems, Omah Lay (Stanley), and Lekan, has issued a stern warning to online critics, making it clear that any form of disrespect toward the artists he represents will not be tolerated.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Awoniyi emphasized that while he remains unfazed by personal attacks, he draws the line when it comes to any insults directed at his clients.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You can insult me all you want, that’s fine. But if you come for Temi, Stanley, or Lekan, then we have a problem. Until next time, bye for now,” he wrote.
His warning comes in the wake of Tems facing repeated online criticism, particularly over the way some users comment inappropriately on her body, with a focus on her backside.
Awoniyi’s statement underscores his protective stance over the artists under his management and his unwillingness to allow online harassment go unchecked.
