Didi Hemann, a Liverpool legend has praised Manchester United for signing Casemiro but has however cautioned, that Casemiro cannot solve Manchester United’s problems. Considering Manchester United’s problems, it will take several signings for the team to get back on its feet.

If we can recall, Manchester United announced that all negotiations between them and Real Madrid for Casemiro have been concluded with both teams settling for a transfer fee of €70m.

Speaking on this, Didi Hemann has aired his opinion, according to him, Casemiro is a fantastic player considering his records in Madrid. The season has only begun and it is very glaring that Manchester United is nowhere near winning the premier league title, as the club is very behind Liverpool and Mancity. Bringing Casemiro into the club does not stop their problems, he’s a fantastic player and has won several titles for Madrid, but we are not expecting Casemiro to solve the problems Manchester United is facing.

He further said that it would take time for Manchester United to get back on its feet. Despite signing Casemiro, some necessary things have to be put in place before he can play for his new club. So he won’t play for Manchester United in their match against Liverpool tomorrow.

“Casemiro is a great player – you only have to look at what he has won at Madrid. But he isn’t going to United to win the league, is he?

“We’re only two games into the season and it’s already obvious that United isn’t going to be anywhere near the title race. They are years behind Liverpool and Manchester City – and they are losing ground on Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal as well.”

“Signing Casemiro is a small step forward – but he’s not the answer. It is going to take years and years of backing Erik ten Hag in the transfer market before United are challenging for the big trophies again.”

“But that’s been obvious since [Sir Alex] Ferguson retired – and look at how many managers they have sacked in the process,”

Hamann added.

Many fans are elated at the signing of Casemiro, as this is a good start for Manchester United since the deal to sign Frenkie de jong and Adrien Rabiot didn’t pull off. Manchester United is to play Liverpool tomorrow, considering Manchester United’s woeful performance this season, many fans are skeptical about the match.
