Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, has reacted to recent social media allegations made by his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, concerning her access to their two sons, Munir and Khalifa.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his media team and titled “Take the Window of Quietude for Therapy,” Nwoko dismissed claims that he is intentionally denying Daniels access to the children or using them for public attention.
According to the statement, Daniels’ online assertions were described as inaccurate and at odds with long-standing family practices. The team noted that sharing family moments involving the children has always been customary within the household.

It further pointed out that Daniels herself has, on numerous occasions, shared photos and videos of not only her own children but also the children of Nwoko’s other wives, without previously raising concerns about privacy or exploitation.
Nwoko’s camp stressed that Daniels’ limited involvement in the children’s lives has been by choice, alleging that she has prioritised social outings and nightlife over maintaining a steady presence. Meanwhile, the children were said to be living in a stable and structured environment that prioritises their emotional health and daily routine.
The statement also disclosed that an Abuja court has issued an order directing Regina Daniels to undergo drug rehabilitation and be evaluated by the Abuja Social Welfare Department before she can regain access to the children.
The case has been adjourned until February 4, 2026, when the court is expected to hear the matter substantively.
The public disagreement first gained attention in October 2025, following allegations involving substance abuse and domestic concerns, which have since evolved into the ongoing custody-related dispute.
