Furious youths who have been protesting against the bad governance and hunger across the country had on Tuesday, allegedly stormed the Port Harcourt residence of the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
From the reports online, it was gathered that while the protests have abated somewhat in Abuja, it kept gaining momentum in Wike’s home land of Rivers State.
The protesters had assembled outside the former Rivers State Governor’s mansion in Port Harcourt as the demonstration entered its sixth day.

Meanwhile, in reaction to the development, the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) informed news reporters that it had deployed several officers to the area to maintain order and guarantee the safety of everyone.
Recall that the demonstrators had on the first day of the protests, stormed the Government House, publicly shaming the state Governor, Sim Fubara, when he made attempts to offer them money for bottled water.
