Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has set social media abuzz after sharing a thought-provoking post that challenges women to reflect on trust, loyalty, and betrayal in relationships.
Taking to her Instagram page, the married actress asked what women would do if they discovered their partner was secretly involved with a married woman who has children. She explained that in the scenario she described, the man had denied the allegation when confronted, insisting the woman was “just friends” — a claim that was completely believed.
Peggy revealed that the truth later emerged when concrete evidence surfaced, proving that the man and the married woman had been in a long-running secret affair. She also pointed out the hypocrisy in the situation, noting that the same man openly condemns single women who date married men.
“What will you do if you find out that the man you are dating is sleeping with a married woman with kids?
You asked him about it, but he totally denies it, saying they are just friends, and you completely believed him.
You eventually got married to him. Your husband always hypes the married woman in public, but privately your husband tells you how local this his friend is just to manipulate you so you will not suspect a thing.”

Her post comes amid renewed attention on her marriage. On Christmas Day, Peggy shared photos of herself alone in colourful pyjamas beside her Christmas tree, noticeably excluding her husband, Frederick Leonard.
In October 2024, Frederick also raised eyebrows for not publicly celebrating Peggy’s birthday. A month later, he addressed speculations surrounding their relationship, cautioning bloggers against spreading unverified claims and stating that their marriage does not owe social media any explanations.
